Business Relationship Director – FTSE 100 Retail
A FTSE 50 retailer required a relationship director to sit in between the IT infrastructure team and marketing department to help drive innovation.
- Reporting to the CTO and with a dotted line to the CMO, but without direct P&L responsibility. To lead IT strategy and planning within digital commerce and be jointly accountable with IT management for all aspects of solutions and service delivery to the digital commerce team.
- The search involved a lateral and diverse candidate base, with candidates from digital agencies, large corporates and online businesses. Candidates needed to have extensive knowledge and experience of technology, trends and constraints and how these can be leveraged to enhance the strategic capability and operational efficiency of the digital commerce team process.
- The successful candidate was the CTO of a digital agency, with a broad background of implementing IT and advising the agency’s clients on trends.
